Toad Rally

Show off Mario's stylish moves, compete against your friends and challenge people from all over the world.[1]

Toad rally is a challenge mode where you can compete head-to-head against your friends in semi-randomly generated levels to win coins and Toads for your Kingdom. There's no flag pole in Toad Rally, you just keep running, jumping and collecting coins until the time runs out.

Mario cutout

You will sometimes see a cardboard cutout of Mario appear in the background: that's the ghost of your opponent during their run so you can see how well they did and what route they took.

In order to play Toad Rally, you will need one Rally Ticket per game, which you can acquire in a variety of ways, such as clearing worlds or through bonus games in your kingdom.[2]

You start the game with 5 Rally Tickets, and can earn more through various events and collecting all 5 Pink Coins on a stage in the World Tour mode.

Scoring

Compete against the stylish moves of other players for the highest score as you gather coins and get cheered on by a crowd of Toads. If you’re impressive enough, the Toads may even come live in your kingdom.[1]

You can perform stylish moves to fill up your Star Guage and launch into Coin Rush!

Coins gathered combined with the number of Toads you impress determine the winner of the Toad Rally.

Toadette will announce a winner once the time runs out. If you win a match, the Toads that you gathered will come to live in your Mushroom Kingdom.

Stylish moves

The following moves will impress Toads:

  • Rolling jump
  • Vaulting jump
  • Consecutive wall jumps
  • Climbing jump
  • Consecutive stomps
  • Threading the ring

See the Tips and Tricks section for more information on these moves.

Friends

If you are already using Miitomo, your friends will automatically be added into the game when you first start.[3]
